Trifles High Concept Designs
I created these costume designs for my Beginning Costume Design class. It was an assignment to design costumes for the play Trifles. The assignment was to first create realistic costumes for the time period, then redesign costumes with a different concept.
I created these designs with a pencil sketch, then finished them with colored pencils. The concept I chose was nature, so for the women I made them flowers, then for the men I based each one on a different type of rock. I enjoyed working on my own concept for this play and getting to apply each character’s personality to their costume.
